prima La_/gnar\_vino: Canada this is Europe

European sign language for lets get rowdy!

After being back in Swissi for a week, we had itchy feet already: it was time to get on the road again. And what a better way to reunite with friends than out in the Alps? For once, the weather actually agreed. So the plan was a couple of days destination Livigno.

But just in case it wasnt enough, we headed out a few days before...started out early for a day in Klosters and then headed on to Scuol to meet up with Simone's family.
We wanted to give Klosters a 2nd chance and ride the Bündner A-line again, but numerous hits with shark teeth landings and sketchy berms sent us further up the mountain to score the neverending freeride trails.

The true gems in Klosters start 1200m above the valley floor, winding through gnar alpine before disappearing into forest, let go of the brakes and get the flow on! Look closely and you'll find the trail...

None nun in Klosters, but still grateful for an incredible day on the mountain.

The gondola takes about 15min to ascend 1200m... repeat 5x and your goose will definitely be cooked. This was earlier in the day when holding on wasn't a problem.

So after washing our bikes and drinking a warm beer in the parking lot, we crossed Flüela Pass to Scuol to rest, some easy hiking and serious high-stakes rummy with Simone's family. On Friday it was time to say goodbye and move on to Livigno... the weather continued to be absolutely perfect.

Perfecto!

August is maybe not the best time to visit Livigno, the streets bustle with sunburnt shoppers. But on the other hand, why not...

Despite being 3hrs from Züri, Livigno has somehow managed to become our home trail, and by far one of our favorite places to ride in Europe. So all was set for an awesome home coming: Beat, Michèle, 2 bikepark newbies, Martin (mr motivated) and Riley (mr uetliberg) joined us to add to the ever present madness that is Livigno.

Riley finds his wings
Day one was a sender... so much so that when we realized that we had missed the last lift up, we walked up the trail to get our last action in. The newbies had tasted blood and just couldn't get enough. In between burning dust down the main highway we did squeeze in some variety and rode a few other trails. Martin wasn't particularly fond of Wide Sheep, probably because he kept trying to climb the trees instead of riding around them.

No matter what, Simone always seemed to get bigger than anyone else on the last stepup!

Cat and Mouse, the only way to make this wallride more fun!

Martin teaches us all how to swim in 10cm of water.

Sprïïïïïïïïïïtzzzzzzz

And the weekend continued at full speed, until at some point we all realized that we were all pretty buggered and no matter how much more we wanted to send it before going home, we simply couldn't anymore. So we finished our day with beers and a swim (wash) in the river and said our goodbye's after an epic weekend together.

Beat shows us what he learnt in Whistler... and check out that view!

Martin shows the ladies that he can go just as big on his (cross country) bike!
